ENGLISH COMMERCIAL. London, September 21.
Sales of wheat aie principally confined to the new English crop, which aveiaged 30s. At the wool sales 275,000 bales are offering. London, Sept. 21. Rabbit skins are firm, and have ad vanced in value a halfpenny. Money is hardening, owing to an expectation of insufficent supplies. The hank rate of discount for three months bills is 3-f. The English wheat market shows a slight advance in prices, the Continental is uuchanged,aud the American is steady. Tallow : Medium mutton is quoted at 24s 6d ; beef, 24 s ?. The stocks of rum are 50 per cent, below the aveiage.
Per New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. London, September 20. Wheat : The bulk of the harvest has been secured in good condition. New Zealand wheat (average) is worth 33s o.d per 4961b, landed. Rabbit skins : Inferior skins are not in demand ; they are worth about 26. per lb. Tallow : Market quiet. Good mutton is worth 27s 3d, and good beef 26s 6d per cwt. Hops : The yield here is expected to be above an average.
