School Committee.

A vfetikg of the To Aroha School ■ Committee was held on Monday evening lasfc. Present :, Messrs Lavery, Ahier, and Menzies. The minutes of the last monthly meeting were read and confirmed. It was decided fco leave this matter in the hands of Mr Marsden. From, the Secretary of the Board of Education, stating the Doavd could not grant any funds for repairing i'onces, gates,, etc. The Secretary was instructed tomako another application to the Board of

Eilmcation for a sum not exceeding £4=, \ towards repairing the fenoes and gates, and to inform the B.oard that the late storra had blown the fences down just after they had been repaired, and t.ie Committee had no Fund 3 at thejr disposal. Also to state to the Board that the school had given one entertainment, which had realised the sum of Ll9, for purchasing scientific apparatus for the school, and they were now preparing another entertainment to provide funds for painting the school, and the Committee- thought that was about as much as they could do. Mr Menzies, as one of the Visiting Committee, reported that the fences had all been repaired. Visiting Committee :• Messrs Heathcote and A rm id were appointed a Visiting Committee for the curr=n,t month. Accounts : The following accounts were passed for payment: W. Hethcring^ ton, LI 13s ; Mrs Griffiths, L.l 3a 4.1. This was all the busines.
