TOTALISATOR STATISTICS.

According to a compiled estimate, £491,481 was passed through the totalisator in New Zealand last season, which shows a falling off. For the 1883-84 season the grand total was estimated at £330,000 ; for 1884-85, £470,600 ; for 1885-86, £560,000 ; for 1886-87, £509,000; for 1887-88, £515,000 ; for 1888-89, £491,000.
