NEW ZEALAND CUP BETTING.
There has been very little watering in Auckland on the New Zealand Cup so far, but I saw a line of 50 to 4 written about Jet d'Eau a day or two ago, the taker being a Napierite. The last quotations in Christchurch to hand are : ! — 100 to 10 against Chain Shot, Corunna, Merrie England, Dudu, Recluse, Tirailleur ; 100 to 8 against Scots Grey, Wakatipu, Occident, Cuirassier, Wolverine, Lady Norah, Jet d'Eau, Strephon ; 100 to 7 against Lorraine, Son-of-aGun, Sultan and Whisper.
