DUNEDIN EXHIBITION. A CAVALRY TOURNAMENT PROPOSED.
Wanganui, August 12. Captain Sombrvillb has issued a circular to the various cavalry and mounted troops suggesting the holding of a cavalry tournament on a large scale in connection with the Exhibition meeting of the New Zealand Rifle Association, &othab contests for half-sections and sections, pursuing practice and. Victoria Cross rescue may be included in the programme. It is believed that the money paid to witness a sight so unusual in Dunedin would more than cover the prizes required, about £150.
