Messrs Alfred Buckxand and Sons Weekly Report.— At the Haymarket during the past wce'c fodder has ranged from 2s 6d to 3s 6d the cwl : chaff, £4 ; carrots, £1 17s the ton ; oats, 3s 2d to 3s od the bushel. On Friday horse stock sold freely ; use£ul animals generally ranged from £.7 to £12, but an exceptionally good active draught horse reached £20 155 ; carts brought £4. £5, and £5 os respectively, and a fishing boat £20. On Tuesday sound ox hides brought irom 3d to 4d ; cow hides, 2d to 2}d ; calfskins, 3d to 5d the lb ; tallow, 14s 6d the cwt ; butchers' sheepskins, from 3s 8d to 5s 9d ; station skins, Is 6d to 5s 3d each. The country cattle sales, held respectively at Pukekohe on Monday, and Papakura on Wednesday, were fully attended; quiet cows, forwaid in calf, ranged from 50s to 80s, and young cattle were in demanri. At Remuera, on Taursday, dairy ca'tle were in demand. Prices ranged from £4 to £5 12_s 6d ; store cattle were also in request : fat cattle, in less than usual numbers, were better worth s=< each ; prices ranged from 14s to 16s the 1001b. Sheep, in full numbers, kept last week's values; fat ewes, from 10s to 13s 6d; wethers, 13s to 17s ; ewes in lamb, 11s 9d ; fat shorn lambs, Ss to 9s ; in their wool. 10s to 123 ; shorn store lambs, 6s 3d each. Coarse pigs at moderate prices, but well-bred pigs sold satisfactorily. Messrs Arthur and Buddles weekly Report. — Owing to piess ot business a report was not prepare < tor last week's publication. During the past fortnight 15 sales by auction have been held For produce, three ; tor trees, two; for properties, three ; for sewing machines, tv\ o ; for household furniture, pianos, elc.threo ; tor drapery, clothing, etc.. two. The whole have been well attended and the results have been very satisfactory. The sales ot fruit and other trees brougnt together a large number of persons, and the prices realised were much better than could have been expected. Hoasehold furniture and effects have been in good demand. Drapery, clothing, etc., have brought fair prices. Properties have not been much in demand ; two of those offered were purchased by the mortgagees. One sold to the highest bidder ; the other was withdrawn. Produce has moved off f urly well, at about late prices. Onions are still very scarce. Fresh butter in fair demand ; corned butter is a drug. Good cheese is wanted. Local bacon, well cured and got up. is in demand. Fruit: Apples and pears have considerably advanced in value. There has been a fair supply. Lemons came to hand last week in fair quantity; very lew this week, and many have been small, none very fine. Poultry ot all kinds in good supply, and prices have ruled higher ; although there were none which brought very high prices, the aver ages have been much better. Pigs have brought fair prices.
