Loxdox, June 15tb. Mr Alkkko HoLDsmr, son 'of Mr George lloldship, of Auckland, takes his B.A. degree nt Cain's College, Cambiidpre, to-day. Mrs Holdship, who came Home in the Victorin, landed j'esterday morning. She was met by Captain Ashby. Mr John Milne, of Auckland, arrived by the same steamer, and landing at (jravesend on the previous evening, made straight for Manchester. Mr Sinclair Gillies has arrived at Liverpool. He comes on to London early next week. Mrs Cameron, who came home by the Tonerariro to undergo an operation, is at Bollingbroko Hospital. Mr Thos. Peacock leaves for Paris today. He expects to return next week, and will then visit Scotland. The ship Soukair, for Auckland, left the Dock? yesterdaj', and will take her departure from Gravesend this morning. I regret to say that Mr Henry Brett has been laid up with a bad cough and cold during the week and was consequently unable to spend Whitsuntide at St Leonard's as he had intended. He managed, however, to be present with Mrs Brett and Mrs Ashby at the meet of the Coaching Club on Saturday week, and. M r Harry Brett ■went to the Derby last Wednesday.
