AUCKLAND CHARITABLE AID BESERVES.
An exhaustive return has been presented to the House showing the number, area, position, value and rental received from all endowments set apart in the Auckland district for hospital or charitable aid purposes. It shows that the annual rentals are expended in the management of the reserves, payment of interest on a loan of £25,000, providing a sinking fund for the redemption of debentures, and the surpluses paid over to the Auckland Hospital and Charitable Aid Board in terms of section 6 of the Special Powers and Contracts Act, 1886.
