BIG BILLIARD TOURNAMENT.

The annual billlaid tournament in connection with the Victorian Tattersall's Club extending over some weeks, has been ended. The final game fell to Mr F. McEvoy (receives 25) and Dr. Laurence (receives 35), Strange to say, the same pair met in the final last year, when Mr McEvoy proved the victor by 52 points, the winner's handicap then being 45, while Dr. Laurence's was 50. On this occasion the positions were reversed, Dr. Laurence winning by 21, and taking 1 the first prize — a solid silver tea and coffee service, value 130 guineas. The second prize is a trophy value 40sov. At the opening 6to 4 and 7 to 4 was laid on Mr McEvoy to a heap of money. The pair were well matched, first one and then the other having the lead. There were no important breaks, Mr McEvoy's 37 being the highest.
