FIVE MEN INJURED.

It is pleasing to note that notwithstanding the untoward weather encountered bv the Dart no loss of life took place, although several narrow escapes are reported. At the outset of the Uip five of tho crew were incapacitated through being knocked down on deck by the main sheet. Several of the men are still suffering from the effects of injuries received and will most likely be landed and taken to the hospital. About a week after the accident, on June 12 in the afternoon, the guy of the mainsail parted suddenly and jjrecipitated two of the crew named, respectively, George Wollings and George Mercer into the water. The alarm was quickly given, and lifebuoys were thrown to the men as they floated past the ship. A boat was also lowered, manned and sent to the rescue. Tho boat was .some time away from the ship, the heavy weather prevailing rendering more than orjinary caie being used, but the officer in chaige succeeded in rescuing the two men and bunging them back safely to the ship. Wollings was in an exhausted condition, and must have been drowned had it not been for the plucky conduct of his shipmate Mercer, who, securing a lifebelt, went to his assistauce and kept him afloat until tho boat came to the x'e&cue.
