MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS' BILL.
This Bill is meeting with determined opposition, and does not seem likely to pass the Upper House. It came up again for its second reading yesterday afternoon, but after a short debate was postponed for a fortnight. The medical fraternity of Christchurch have raised their voices against the Bill, as a petition presented to each House testifies, and these will probably be followed by similar petitions from the doctors in our other cities.
