A LEGAL BILL.
Mr Downio Stewart has introduced a Notice of Action Abolition" Bill, and it has been read a first time. Its object is to prevent technical defences being raised to defeat a just claim/it provides thatabsecne of action shall not be defence to the action, but shall only be ground for depriving the plaintiff of costs, and to the extent the judge or magistrate may in his discretion think proper.
