Wellington, July 5. AUCKLAND CHARITABLE ENDOWMENTS.

A detekmixki> effort seems to be on the tapis to obtain for the Auckland charitable bodies outside Auckland city a share of the endowments set apart in the provincial district. Mr R. Thompson hasalready moved on behalf of the North Auckland body ; and now Mr Cadman purposes opening up the whole question as to whether Ihosi endowments arc not for the whole province, and whether each county or hospital and charitable aid board is nob entitled to participate. To do this he is to move tor a return showing tho number, area, position, value, and rental received from all endowments set apart in the provincial district of Auckland for hospital and charitable aid purposes ; this return to state who collects the revenue and how it is allocated. Ho believes Auckland gets the lob.
