It has been complained that tho valuations of tho holdings undor the village settlement scheme aro based upon inflated and not veal values. Mr Goldie wants this altered, and is toa&k the Minister of Lands if the Government will cause a revaluation of the holdings under the village .settlement scheme to be made so that tho interest to be paid by the settlers shall bo as nearly as possible upon the real value of land, instead of upon fictitious values, as alleged to be the case at present.
