MEAT TRADE WITH MELBOURNE.
A Mr Todd, of Auckland and Wellington, has had on offer from a Melbourne firm to undertake the risk of a week's cargo of meat from New Zealand. Mr Todd is now in Wellington endeavouring to arrange the matter with the Union Company. If they will nofc take up the venture I understand another steamship company are ready to step in The difference in the price of meat here and in Melbourne shows chere is a big opening for our stock in Victoria.
