THE CLAN-NA-GAEL.
New York, May 30. It is reported in Chicago that Alexander Sullivan, a member of the Clan-na-Gael Society, persuaded Patrick Egan, treasurer of the Land League, to grant a hundred thousand dollars to prevent secession from the Clan-na Gael Society ; that Sullivan lodged eighteen thousand dollars only of this money in the Clau-na-Gael treasury, and transferred the balance to his own use.
London, June I. Mr R. T. Reid, Q.C., one of the counsel for the Parnellite party, informed'the President of the "Times "- Parnell Commission this morning that thirty books, chiefly those connected with the English branch of the League, would be produced. In his examination before the Commission to-day, Mr E. Harrington, M.P. for Kerry West, stated that there had been nearly 17,000 persons evicted from their homes in Kerry between 1879 an d 1887. He had himself always denounced violence and crime,
