Mkssrs AuTnun and Buddles Weekly Rkport. — A. busy week in all departments. Good demand for produce of all kinds; much niore could have been sold of some kinds. Fresh butter moved off freely — an unsatisfied demand ; tlie same may bo said of Rood fresh oggs. Well-cured local bacon is wanted. Eleven sales b3 r auction have been hold. On Monday a large sale of unredeemed pledges was hold at, the marl, consisting of gold and silver watches, jewellory, tools, clothing, etc., from Mr J. Nounvgcn, pawnbroker, Wellesloy - street. There was a very largo attendance: good competition for many lines; prices were satisfactory. There was also a sale of household furniture, horse, buggy, harness, etc., at Mr J. Thompson's, Broughton Lodge, Mount Albe-rt. Thero >yas a good attendance, and all sold at fair prices. On Tuesday, at the mart, a little homestead of 20 acres, with house and outbuilding-, on the Groat South Road, about 1J miles from l'oknno station, was sold by auction for £215 cash. On Tuesday and Wednesday a clearing-out sale of stock of drapery was held at the thop lately occupied by Mr ileminingway. There was a good attendance, and fair prices were obtained. Tne sale will bo continued on Saturday and Tuobday next. On Wednesday a sale was hold at the mart of household furniture and ertects. A fair amount of business was done. There was also a sale of new Wevtheim treadle sowing machines ; several were sold at £6 each. On Thursday there was a sale of household furniture and effects at the residence of Mr F. B. Woodham, Itosc Koad ; a fair number were present, and upon the whole prices were satisfactory. On Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday sales were held at the mart of poultry, produco and groceries, etc.; all were well attended, and good prices ■\\ero obtained. On account of its being so wet yesterday the sale was not near so large as it would have bsen if tine, yet a large business has been done. There was a fairshow of poultry, and prices have been better. Several lots of pigs were entered, and brought fair prices. Fruit also sold at a better price yesterday. A shipment of Hcbart have come to hand this week, and they sold at a very low price, because the samplo was inferior. Mk Alexander Aitkex's Market Report for the week ending June I.— A very good business has been done during the week. Produce of all kinds has found roady sale. Potatoes of better quality have come to hand from Waikato districts, and better prices have been obtained. Onions have been quitted in large quantities at high prices, and the demand is yet unsatisfied. "Vegetables of all kinds in large supply ; prices low. Maize is scarce. Oats aro also wanted at improved values. Wheat has a slightly downward tendency; several parcels have been quitted at late quotations. Fowls were m good supply, and sold at slightly better average. Ducks in good numbers; prices ically good. Turkeys and geese also sold at higher prices. Pigs were entered in large numbers, but owing to the rain preventing ma ay farmers attending the sale, prices were lower. Rabbits hare been quitted readily at satisfactory prices ; there is a demand for a larger quantity. Hams and bacon : Supply of local lots increasing ; values unchanged. Cheese ha 3 moved readily, but little left on hand. Honey, quiot. Fresh butter in good supply; values unchanged; the same applies to eergs. Corned butter, quieU Fruit shows no signs of falling off. At Tuesdays sale prices were higher; but on Friday, owing to the unfavourable state of the weather, the demand was more limited. The following are the quotations -.—Fowls, poor and old. Messrs Alfred Bucklaxd axd Sox's Weekly Report. — At the Haymarket during the past week, loose fodder was in usual supply. Meadow hay brought from Is 9d to 2s 9d ; oaten nheaves. 2s 6d to 3s 9d cwt : oats, 23 lOd ; maize, 3s Id to 3s 4d ; wheat, 3s 2d bushel ; chaff, £3 5s ton. At the horse sale held on Saturday, the unbroken hor3es were in condition, and sold satisfactorily. Two-year-old colts and fillies of medium strength brought from £6 to £9 each ; other descriptions of horses were at late values. On Tuesday, hides and skins were pitched in full numbers, and prices fully sustained. Best heavy ox brought ssd and 5Jd Ib, or from 33s to 37s each; good medium ox, 223 to 26s each; tallow, f^om 14s 3d to 15s 6d cwt; sheepskins better worth, and prices ranged from lOd to 4s 4d each, the greater number from 2s 6d to 3s each. At the cattle sale held at Pukekohe on Monday a larger muster of cattle than usual at this season were yarded. There was a steady demand throughout the sale and every lot quitted. At Papakura on Wednesday a small muster also obtained ready buyers. ZAtßemuera on Thursday, dairy cows giving milk or near calving were eagerly competed for. and extreme values obtained for them. Store cattle at late values. Fat cattle in moderate number ; heavy weights better Avorth; light weights at last week's prices : 15s the 1001b was obtained for steera, and 12s to 13s for cp wa. Calves plentiful; sold freely. Fat sheep in moderate number; sold at last week's values. Few lambs yarded. Pigs of good Quality were required, but coarse store pigs were scarcely saleable.

Messrs Hunter and Nolans Weekly Report. -^-Horse feed, grain, seed, etc.: Ample quantities for reqxiirements were brought forward. The demand was steady for grain and horse feed, without p.ny material alteration in value, but owing to the lateness of the season, grass seeds were unsaleable, except at very low figures. We quote : Feed oats, 5s to 3s 3d ; dun oats, 2s lOd to 33 ; hran, £5 10s to £& 10a per ton ; oaten chaff, £3 10s per ton; rye grass, 2s 6d to 4s 6d par bushel ; cocksfoot, 3s 4d to 4s per bushel. Horses: There was about the usual number entered for disposal by auction at the Durham Yards on Saturday, the sale being postponed until that day on account of the holiday, but as usual on change of days, but a short amount of business was done. We quote: Hacks, £5 lo £13 103 ; light harness horses, from £5 53 to £12 10s. Wool, hides, skins, etc.: About the usual quantities were pitched on Tuesday at the Durham Yards. There was a steady demand at the previous week's values. We quote: Ox hides. 3.d to 5d per lb ; cow, 2Jd to to3Jd; calfskins, 3d to 4]d; sheepskins, Is lid to 3s 9d ; pelts, 9d to Is 6d eaoh ; lambskins, 2s to 2s 9d each. Catt'e: The supply has been an average one. The demand for good dairy cows at their proQt has continued brisk, but for fat and store stock was slack. There was less than the usual number yarded at Newmarket on Tuesday. Good milkers were well competed for, but for other descriptions bidding was slack: Dairy cows sold at from £4 to £7 7s 6d each; ox beef , 12s to 15s per 1001b ; cows, 11s to 13s. Some averages were. Steer 3, £4, £4 ss, £4 12s 6d, £5 0s 6d, £5 7s 6d, £5 159, £6 5s ; cows, £2 16s, £2 17s, £3 10s, £3 19s, £4, £4 ss. Sheep : There was a fair muster at the Newmarket Yards on Tuesday. 'I he demand was steady at a slight advance on the previous -week's value at per stone, although 13s 9d was the highest prico reached for wethers, and for ewes from 7s 9d to 10s 6d each ; lambs, 7s to 9s 6d. Pigs: A moderate number were yarded, dairy fed sold at from 24d to 3d per lb, live weight ; coarse store relatively lower.
