Wyi.tiE ix New South Wales. The " Melbourte Loader " says : — The champion is still in the sister colony, playing with his usual success. He remained in bydney till the 19th April, when he left for Bathurst. His Sydney score standsWon, 328 ; lost, 1 ; drawn, 29 ; total : 358 games. Mr J. Drury was the winner of the lost game. In Bathurst, where he found good players, he contested 109 games, winning 101, losing 1, and drawing 7. Mr Gressier, on this occasion, was the winner of the game lost. The draws were secured as follows: — Mr A. Page, 2; Mr C. Josephs, 2 : and Messrs Illingworth, E. Standen, and Gressier, 1 each. Mr Wyllio is at present in Springwood, the guest of Mr J. Illingworth, who is no doubt drinking deeply of Damas spring. The record there is 9 games, of which Mr Illingworth won 1 and drew 2. The champion on leaving Springwood, goes to Tamworth for a week, and thence to Bega for another week, after which, unless invited to some other place, he will leave, for Melbourne. Aucklvnp Championship.— lt is stated that a challenge will shortly appear on behalf of a local player to contest Mr Wilson's right to that position. Victorian Championship. — The championship of Victoria was won by Mr F. Brown, the second prize falling to Mr Gray. The result ot the final encounter of four games was : Brown two wins and two draws.
