WAIORONGOMAI. (From Our Own Correspondent.)
TVaiorongomai, Monday. Gekerai. : We have had very boisterous weather here during the last three days, and this morning about daylight the wind blew with terrific force, the damage to property has been however slight. An old rrhare used as a stable by Mr J. McLeod was demolished, and also part of the fence adjoining blown down, several slips have occurred on the lower horse track, and a few trees have blown across it, a gang of men are now on re - pairing damages. Te Aroha S. ami G. M. Co. r A few slips have also occurred on the Company's water-race extension, but no serionq damage was done. The Boss pansin theTniling plant have been idle for a few days undergoing repairs, I believe they will start again to-morrow. The (Company are pushing ahead with the erection of the new 20 head of stampers, and several more carpenters have bepn taken on. On Saturday evening last the " Troubadour" monster troupe gave a performance in the Public Hall, the place beiHg crowded, the entertainment was a good one, the audience being highly pleased.
