At a sitting of tho- Thames Warden's Court: on Thursday, 23ni inst., before H. W. Northcroft, Esq., Warden, the following applications- were dealt with : — G. I. Panter, Centennial,. Tapu, adjourned Bth August ; R. McDonald' Scott, May Queen, adjourned 27tli June ;• Robert Cannell, water race, Upper Tararu, grafted ; T H.. Russell, several toil and wateu races, Waihi, were gi anted,, and an application tor a dam in the Waifete Creek adjourned until next Court clay ; S. Earl and party and others, amalgamation of Beo and Wasp claims, Waihi., granted ; J k H. Smith, protection for machine site and water nice license in connection with Sylvia special claim,. ' Typpfti'Taiaru, planted for four months - r iJ. Morton, protection to work Mount ■ Morgan claim with two men, granted ; A. Hogg, amalgamation, adjourned 30th inst *i Win. Brooks, protection for Hit or Miss c-hinn, to work with one man for three months, adjourned till next Court day j| John Birme, three months' protection for Tnn> Welcome, Waftekauri, granted * An application was al c o made by Mr Miller, on behalf of the Deep Level Cross G.M.. Co., for permission to woric that company's nwne with four men for a period of four month*,. He explained that the company \v?is now in liquidation, and that it was intended tore-form it. In reply to nueptions the Mining Inspector (Mr George Wilson) said that the request for protection vr is a returnable one, as in the past a large amount of work had been done, and the surface was well riddled. Protection as applied for was granted. — Thames Star.
