AGRICULTURAL ESTIMATES. Wellington, May 16.
In consequence of the repeated statement to the effected that the agricultural estimates are below the mark, the RegistrarGeneial has caused further iuquniea to be made, and has published a memo embodying the results. Me con^ideis the actual crop of wheat does not ditfer matei ially from the estimate. In (South Canterbury he found one instance where the machine results show 20,000 more bu>hels each of wheat and oats and 27,800 ot bailey, but in Oamaru and several counties ot Otago he considers the actual yield will be slightly under the estimate. In Bruce County it be ten per cent, more, and in Southland there will be little or no difference.
