THE SUGAR CONVENTION. London, May 14.
In the House of Commons Baron de Worms stated that the Australian colonies not having offered any objection to the final conditions cf the Sugar Bounties Convention, he assumed the\ have agreed to accept it as it stand-. He said the Victorian Bill, v.hich provided for a difterential duty on cane and b^t-t sugar, was not repealed when the Convention was passed, hut Victoria would be bound by the same law as Enyland.
