German Vessels Wrecked.
The following are the lists of the officers on the ill-fated German war vessels which went ashore or sank in the hurricane : — <j' * Adler : Comtijajnder.'. Yon Wieterman ; corvettee, ,C.ap'taiti;' first lieut., Meuss ; navigating lieut.,. Wilde ;-%ub-lieuts., Huss and Goch, Dr. Eckstein ; paymaster, Ke.sper ; engineer," Schranum. The Adler had a- crew of 130 xneo. , ■ it . . Eber : Commander Captain Wallis, Lieutenant. Erhardt, Yon Ernhausen, Giirek, Surgeon, Dr. Maienhauer, Paymaster Kunze. The Eber was a Scorn posite screw gunboat of 575 tons, and visited Auckland on January 19th last, for despatches for Apia. She had a fairly powerful armament, and was manned by a crew of 87 men. The Olga's officers were :— Captain Yon Erhardt. First Officer, .Fischer ; Lieutenant, Gilderneister, 1 ' Lilie, Klinksick, Hollroan and Lautenberger ; StattSurseon, Dr. Schneider ; Paymaster Theide, Engineer Orlin. The " Olg.i's grew numbered 240 men. She was a cruiser corvette of the unprotected class, shiprigged, vvith engine of 2390 h. p. She was built at Stettin in 1880, and measures 226 ft 4in in length, 4lft in breadth, and 16ft Bin in depth, "giving a gross measurement of 2169 tons.. Her armament consisted of 12 Krupp.^uns.
