, The U.S. .man-o-war Vandalia lost four officers and thirty-nine men, namely :—: — Captain Schumaker, Paymaster Armes, Lieutenant ,of Marines Sutton, Paycbrk John 1 . Roach, Quartermaster William Brown, and the following seamen : — He^ry Baker, W. Brisbane, M. Cash an, M. Craigen, B. F; Davis, T. G. Downey, «M. Erickson, •- H. C. Geirnev, Adolph Goldner, George Lohman, N. B. Green, Joseph Griffin, E. N. Hammon, John"," Hantchetb, C. ,H. Hawkins, W, Howah, JT. ''Jones, 1 '.G. 1 ' Jordan, M. H. Josephs,, John Kelly, T. Kelly, N. Kinsella, G. P. Krateer, C. Kraus', F. Lepsiman, L. 'Merrape, Alymer Montgomery, T. Riley, H. P. Stabanez, C. G. Stanford, John Sims, J. H.
