of men are being employed to take advanfcnge of fine weather. The successful tenderer for cutting the ground-race is Mr E. C. O'Connor, Te Aroha ; the length of the race is something over 200 uhains, contract price £G25. The contract for driving a tunnel for the tail-race has been lot to Mr A. Elliott at 7s per foot. In the Nut claim Hancock ond party are on a rich patch. Martha.— llollis' Tribute: The repairs to water-race and tramway being now completed, a start has been made to break out stuff for tho batteiy.
