CUSTOMS REVENUE. DEFICIT OF £51,753.

Wellington, April 1. The Customs revenue for March was £28,311. The following are the amounts collected ab the principal ports : Auckland, £22,277; Wellington, £15,569; Christchurch, £16,346 ; 'Dunedin, £25,866 The total for the financial year just ended was £1,463,247, showing a deficit on the treasury estimate of £51,753. The beer duty for the year was £51,048, giving a surplus of £48. For last month the amount was £4,877. The amounts at the principal towns were: Auckland, £980; Wellington, £477; Christen urch, £1,018: Dunedin, £1,031.
