RAGLAN RACES. Auckland, March 18.

The annual race meeting was held at Raglan last Friday. The day was beautifully fine. There was quite a laige muster of settlers and visitors from Waikato prosent, and the races were very good, the whole thing passing off most creditably and without hitch or accident. The following s the list of events :—: —

Hurdle Race, £10. — Mr J. Gall's Maid of the Mist, lOst, 1 ; Mr N. King's Bob Sawyer, 9st7lb, 2; Mr W. King's Dick Hunt,, 9sb7lb, 3.

Maided Ppate, £5. — Mr Vernon's Peter, list 71b, 1 ; Mr Lane's Dewdrop, list 71b, 2 ; Mr Bundle's Paddy, list 71b, 3. Raglan Cur, £10.— Mr .]. Charleston's Bob, 8&t 71b, 1 : Mr J. Gall's Maid of the Mist, 9st 71b, 2 ; Mr W. King's Dick Hunt, 9sfc, 3.

Milk Handicap, £6. — Mr J. Charleston's Bob, 9sfc 71b, 1 ; Mr Vernon's Peter, 9st 71b, 2 ; Mr Connelly's Liberator, lOst 71b, 3. Forced Handicap, £7.— Mr Charleston's Bob, llsb 71b, 1 ; Mr Gall's Maid of the Mist, 9sb, 2; Mr Vernon 's Peter, 9st, 5.

Coxsolation Race, £5. — Won by Connelly's Liberator. Mr Charleston's Bob won the three big events one after the other, winning the last easily with list 71b on his back.
