The Supreme Court sessions were opened this morning before Mr Justice Richmond, who remarked, in his address to the Grand Jury, that of six eases all l>n L one concerned Maori prisoner*, and the Maoris in five were instrumental in bringing the prisoners to justice. A tine Bill was found against Henare to Peikeia for horsestealing, and he was found guilty and sentenced to 12 months. True Bills were found against Henare Ivohmv, sodomy, j Tame Taralin, horse stealing and for»ejy, and W. J, Mosswa, sheep-stealing, llaera te Pere will be brought up to-morrow, charged with the murder of the Pook family at Waipiro, There are 34 witnesses for the prosecution.
