A WOMAN'S WAY.

A carpenter came up to Mr GabbleV home the other day and handed Mrs Gabble the folowine note from Mr Gabble himself • ' Dear Wife : Tell the bearer what you want in the *ay of a shelf fur your plants and he'll attend to it. ' Fr\nk.' 'Oh, yes,' said Mrs Gabble, biightly, a ter reading the note, * I see ; and I'm awfully glad you've come for I'm very anxious to have that shelf up as soon as 1 can, for I've more nlants than I can put on brackets, and I don't like brackets, anyhow. The plants are so apt to fall "off or to get knocked off of the brackets. I had a peifectly lovely geranium that I wouldn't havi) taken a dol>ar for, knocked off a bracket and utterly ruined last winter, and another day the baby climbed up into his high chair and knocked off two exquisite fuchsias. I felt so badly I fairly cried over it and think a btacket is so apt to break. A friend of mine had one break and let four beautiful plants fall to the floor. It's easier to water plants on a shelf, and I really think they look better and 1 want a real nice wide, but not too wide nor yet too narrow, shelf. I don't know but I'll have two. I'll leb you know if I do.
