WAIORONGOMAL. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Waiorongomai, Thursday.

Alameda : Bailing operations were resumed in this mine on Sunday at midnight, and as soon as the water is sufficiently low, a " Tangye" pump will be erected, to be worked by a small engine which the manager has lately placed in position near the shaft. It is sincerely to be hoped the erection of this pomp Avill enable the manager to keep down the water, as he deserves every success for the plucky manner in which he has perserved with the work so far. I understand it is the intention of the manager as soon as the shaft has been sunk the proposed 100 feet (should the reef not have been struck in the meantime) to then open out east and west. Accident : A somewhat serious accident happened at the New Find mine on Monday last. One of the men, George Adams was running out a truck, and coming to one of the sharp bends, it would appear the truck ran off the rails, and from the velocity it had on at the time, the truck was thrown right on its end, Mr Adams being pitched c'eanover the top on to the rough country beyond. As he appeared to be seriously injured, it was deemed advisable to carry him down to the township, which was done, and Dr Cooper was immediately sent for, who on examination found no bones broken, only a few superficial bruises. I trust to see Mr Adams all right again in the course of a few days. i Te Aroha S. and G. M. Co. : The ' bridging over the gullies for the water race extension is now being completed, and the pipes for one are alrealy on the ground, and will be placed in position this week. Flax Mill at the Gordon Special Settlement: Mr yon Stunner with a small staff is busy clearing and burning off the proposed site for the mill. 20,000 feet of timber has been ordered, and is now on its way from the Junction saw mill. In consoquence of the low state of the river, the timber cannot be taken further up than Muiphy's Landing, and tenders are now being invited for carting it from thence to the Gordon Settlement.
