We have from time to time described and illustrated several methods of applying pressure to stacked ensilage. The plan shown in the accompanying cut is said to he extensively used in Enj<'and. Ifc j robably gives a more even pressure than Johnson's system of wire-ropes, which was illustrated in The Farmkr a good while ago. We have nob been able to ditcover
what are considered to be the peculiar merits of the method here depicted, bufc we like to keep our readers informed as to what is beirjg done by different people in a new branch of farming pracice.
