Mr Fii- dlan leilived iv the South, and it took a little time to communicate with him. The Mining Inspector said the owners had not applied to, or communicated with him on the matter, nor applied to the Warden for protection, and it ap peared to him therefore the land was virtually abandoned when the men were withdrawn ; Mr Cameron " should not therefore feel aggrieved at the action he had taken in the matter. If Mr C imeron was prepared to do more work, and have money expended in developing theground, he had no desire to see the owners ousted. He was aware Mr Cameron had had two drives put in as he had stated. Adjourned for one month. Application by Mining Inspoctor for forfeiture Bismarck Licensed Holding, Waiorongomai. Max. The Warden addressing Mr Adams with reference to what had passed re the granting of water-rights on last Court day said : Mr McLiver appeared to be looking forward to the time when Te Aroha and Waiorongomai would be united and form one large town. He did not think any of those now present could see that, but it was well to take precautions with regard to possible demand for water for domestic purposes. Tramway Extension : J. M. Chambers applied on behalf of the Champion G. and S, Mines, Tui, for right to construct tramway at Tui, beyond the limits already granted. E. Cameron, as owner of the May Bell claim, objected to the right beinggranted as per sketch plan produced, as it would go right across the mouth of his drive ; aud prove a source of danger to those working below. The matter was fully gone into by the Warden with sketch plan before him, applicants stating they were prepared to protect Camerons workings. Application granted on the condition that applicants did all that was requested, to the satisfaction of the Mining Inspector, to prevent any interference with workings on the May Bell claim ; His Worship informing Cameron he would see that his interests were fully protected.
