A telegram received from Opobiki by the lion. Mr AJitthelson about 2 p.m. to day stated that To Kooli's whereabouts were

unknown, Scouts had been out in all directions in search of the sable fugitive from an early hour in the morning, but so farwithoutsuccess. TeKooti's followers were kopb in proximity to the camp at Waireka, pending the decision of the Government with reference to their proposed disbandmonfr. Mr Milchelsen i.s of opinion that Te Kooti does not intend to fitjht, and he docs not think there will bo any necessity for calling out additional volunteers to proceed to the front.
