TE KOOTI INFURIATED. CONSTABLES LEAVE FOR THE CAMP. ALARM OF THE SETTLERS. Opotiki, Feb. 27.
Tk Kooti's messengers to Gisborne should have returned yesterday morning. They have been detained. This has infuriated Te Kooti. Inspector Uoodall and four constables have just left for the Hauhau camp. This caused universal alarm and excitement, and settlers immediately discussed the advisability of arming .themselves as best they can, and patrolling the district last night.
