Crown Lands Board.
The usual meeting of the Crown Lands Board (Auckland), was held on Thursday last. The Crown Lands Rangers' reports on the Gordon Special Settlement, and the perpetual lease selections at Te Aroha and Waitoa were submitted, and the Rangers submitted that a number of the holders should bo called upon to show cause why their selections should not be forfeited for non-residence and other breaches of the i emulations. From the report it appeals that there are 29 non-resident** in the Gordon Special Settlement, and in eiifht cases there wfcre no improvements. With regard to the perpetuil lease selections at Te Arohtt and Waitoa there were 14 persons who dirt not reside on their sections. Some resided at Thames, Auckland, or in various parts of the Te Aroha and Waitoa districts. In some cases the improvements weie fuir, while in others none weiti effected, though the land had been in possession of the selector. 0 for two and a-half years.* The Board resolved to notify those concerned that the residence clauses would be enforced, and the other conditions generally.
