A senons cave in has happened at Taupiri Oonl Oonlpany's mine, on t Mrs Ralph's proportyl During last week in some parts thd surface of the ground sunk down twenty to thirty feet, leaving great fissures on the jjiill side. The lower workings ail supposed to be completely filled up wth debris, and large quantities of coal smothered. Coal is still however boini got out in sufficient quantity to fill bufc the output must be considerably diminished in consequence of. the sl)p, wliich still continues to increase ; and sinking the new shaft has been postponed owing to large quantities of sand coming into the cylinders, with a heavy influx of water.
