ELECTION OF A HOME RULER. London, February 19.
Sir John George Sin) th Kin'och, Bart., a Home Ruler, has been elected to repiesenb the constituency of East Perthshire, the vacancy fur which was caused by the death of R. S. Menzies. The numbers polled by the successful candidate were 4,005, against 2,289 for Mr Biuce, the Unionist candidate. It is believed that the arrest of Mr J. L. Caiew, M.P. for Kiklare, which was made at Kinloch House, Meigle, Peithshire, influenced the election adversely to Mr Bruce.
