COLLAPSE OF THE LAND BOOM. MELBOURNE, Last Night.
Mr Lachiil, a prominent membe r of Innil and financial syndicates, has failed. Liabilities, £330,000 ; statement of assets show a surplus of L 63,000 over estimate of liabilities. Lachal is a victim of the recent land boom, which has now collapsed.
ALBANY, Last Night, The steamer Austral has arrived from Londm. Amongst the passengers is Mr Herbert Gladstone, son of l]ig]it Hon. W. E. Gladstone, and member of House of Commons for Leeds.
