NEW ZEALAND EXHIBITION.
Melbourne, February 1. Mr R. E. N. T/Vopeny has arranged for the transfer of the principal exhibits in the Armament Court to Dunedin. He says that most of the British loan collection is obtainable, but the cost is excessive. Mr Hazon offeied to provide an orchestra of twenty-four pjayers for but this was refused. An offer was also received from a military band of thirty-six players to go to Dunedin for and this offer is under consideration. Only a few educational exhibits are obtainable, as the collection at the Melbourne Exhibition is broken up, and a large quantity sold. Mr Twopeny is urging the various Australian Governments to whom portions were given to lend them for the Exhibition at Dunedin. London, January 31, M. Digier, Director of the Paris Exposition, has offered Sir Saul Samuel, Agent-Geneial for New South Wales, 5000 feet of space in a good position in the Tiocadero Gardens, on which to erect a building for the purpose of exhibiting New South Wales exhibits.
