OHINEMURI. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Paeroa, Wednesday.
Considerable stir was experienced here on Monday morning 1 , the occasion being the wedding o£ Miss Catherine Dawber, neice of Mrs Mahoney, of .Paeroa, to Mr George Crosby,* the popular , coach proprietor , of Tauranga. Two coach loads of visitors f rpm Taumnga\ h&d arrived the day before, and the little township .seemed en f^te for the occasion. Father Keogh performed the ceremony, and the bride was attired in an elegant grey satin costume with the orthodox orange blossom wreath and full length, embroidered tulle veil. Little Miss Daisy Power and Miss Mary Kate TwohiM acted as bridesmaids. A large party were afterwards entertained at breakfast by the brides Aunt, ami the happy couple left for Tauranga. Paeroa, Friday. Mr J. McDonnell, the representative and manager of the Casse] quartz reduction process, about to be erected at the Crown mine, Karangahaka, a! rived at Paeroa during the week, accompanied by Messrs Dempster, McFarlane, and Tagart, assistants. Mr McConnell was the gentleman who treated the Crown oro. at Glasgow. Mr William Nicholls, who has been prospecting in Fiji for the past twelve months has returned to his home at Waihi. Messrs Chappall and party have purchased the Imperial mine, Knranarahake, from Mr Robeit Clements. The price has not transpired. Part of the Crown machinery arrived per Kotnku on Thuisday List, the balance will anive per scow Maig.iret on Monday.
