Messrs A. Bdg&land a\d Son's Weekly Report. — On Wednesday the fourth wool sale of the season was held. Bidding was more free than at the last wool sale, and prices about a farthing per 1b better. Good olips of crossbred wool ranged up to 7£d the lb. and the only parcels remaining unsold were exceptionally heavy. Prices for dairy cows close to calving have improved, and yearling steers have advanced from 2s 6d to 5s ench ; other descriptions of store cattle have not maintained previous values. At Remuera on Thursdaj', dairy cows that promised to be good milkers were in demand at an advanced pi ice, varying from 10s to 2Qs each over late maiketSi but medium and inferior oattle were no better worth, Yearlings were in good enquiry at full values ; grown cattle at lower prices. Fat cattle were abundant, and above 100 good bullocks were withdrawn. Ptices for tiio^e sold were from Is 6d to 2s 6d the 1001b lower than last week, and for steers were from 12s 6d to 14a ;cowp, 9s to 11s the lOOlbs. Kat sheep in average number were lower, about Is each, but lambs, in excessive supyly, were lower, fully 2s, and a large number of the lambs forwarded wore bought by the graziers. Prices obtained were : "Wethers, from 8s 6d to Us; ewes, 6s 6d to 9s each • lambs, 7s 6d to 10s. Calves, in moderate number, slured in f\e general depression, porkers «lone kept late values.
