A sovious n*ro occurred at Brisbane in Petrie's Bight, resulting in tho total dostrution of tho promises and stock of Pole Outridgo and Co., printers ; Leo, confectioner ; and another small shop. Somo damago was also dono to the adjoining promisos. Tho total loss is estimatod at between ,65,000 and £6,000. Pole, Outridge, and Co. estimate their loss in stock and plant at about £3500, of which £3000 is covered by insurance in various offices. The building was insured for £600 in tho Now Zoaland Company. Polo, Outridge, and Co. were ongaged in printing Pugh's Almanac for the current year, which was about half completed. This alone will entail considorablo loss.
