THE MOUNT MORGAN GOLD MINE.
A second report raado by Mr R. L. Jack, Governinenb geologist), cm the Mount Morgan Gold Mine has been 10ceived by the Queonsland Government, The report is an account of the mine as it appeared at the beginning of November last. Mr Jack says after describing tho various workings of the mino, that evidonco to hand goo? to confirm his original viow that tho auriferour metal was deposited by a thermal spring. Ho adds that the rocent oxploratory work in Callan's Knob (Mount Margan Extended Gold-mining Company), lias tended to strengthen the belief that though it may be comparatively poor in gold it is of similiar origin to Mount Movan itself. In his remarks on tho gold yields Mr Jack says: "The unparalleled of the mine must bo obvious to the most casual observer." He also remarks "It is very evident tho bulk of tho gold of Mount Morgan yeb lies intact within the limits of freohold property."
