[to the editor.] Sir, — There is a very pretty glen and waterfall Within a few minutes walk of tho Domain,- but difficult for invalids to get to. !Seein<? t ( l)nt a great inducement for people to visit 'watering places exists in there being places of interest or beauty within easy reach, I would suggest that a few shillings be expended by those interested, in making the track to the waterfall available for ladies and convalescents. I would further suggest that immediate' 1 stops be taken to put an end to bush filing in the glen, and for some distance round the waterfall. If this be not done at once tho beauty of one of the prettiest spots in the district will be for ever destroyml. I do not know whether 1 the waterfall and the adjacent land be Government, Native or private land, but which ever it may he, it ought to be secured without delay, made into a reserve, and placed under the administration of tho Domain Board. — 1 am, etc. J C. Fikth. To Aroha, January, 11th, 1889.
