In passing near Canolls corner, being mounted on a rather fresh horse, one of those yelping curs that this neighbourhood is famous | for, rushed forth and snapped at the horses heels, causing it to shy violently and Miss Munro was thrown off. Some kind neighbours immediately ran to the rescue, and after a little rest and refreshment, Mi,ss Munro pluckily resumed her journey.
