DREADFUL CATASTROPHE. NINETY LIVES LOST. New York, December 26.
A steamer caught fire in Louisana waters, and a terrible catastrophe fol. lowed. Thirty of those on board were burned to death, and sixty were drowned in their efforts to escape. Only ten lives were saved.
