WAITOA ROAD BOARD.

Among the correspondence was a copy of a memo sent to the Commissioner of Crown Lands re the Board's application for agravel pit in town of To Aroha, ,and a memo received in reply, -reporting that Section* I, 2, 3, 4, 13, 14, 15, and^l6, of Block XV, town of Te Aroha, hay.c been Bet apart as, a Gravel Reserve, andjthat the Waitoa Road Board has the same right as any other public body to take gravel therefrom. The Engineer reported on trie works required on the Ngutumanga road, and he was instructed to get the works^ done. The cost not to exceed £9. 'f The 1 Engineer reported that O. McCabe has finished his contract on the, main road at Annandale ; that J. Orr has finished his contract on the main road near Morrinsville ; that D. Bell has nearly finished the improvements on the road from Morrinsville towards Maungatapu, and from that road to the railway crossing, on road leading to Maungakawa ; that J. Shaw is going on with the bridges^ etc. on the the Scotchman's Valley road ; that C. Murphy is progressing with/ his contract on the Stanley road ; and th^t A. Bremner is goingon with formation of roads in the,, Te Au 0, Waikato block, ,%nd on roads" through Bells Waikuku blocks. The Board received complaints re the damage being done to the.rpad between the properties of Messrs J.vHunt and D.
