BANK OF NEW ZEALAND. THE "FINANCIAL NEWS" ARTICLE. London, December 15.
The article of the "Financial News" on the Bank of New Zealand is couched in most offensive language, in which a grave charge is conve}ed against the Bank. It adduces the transaction in the Bank's shares and portions of the President's October speech in support of its charges. Three gentlemen connected with the Bank are leferred to by name, and the local press is accused of being afraid to publish certain things about the meeting in October for fear of libel.
