We believe Mr Adams purposes going ,to Australia at an early dato. Very, great cfedic^is i]ue to him for the very able and systematic manner in w,h ich he h *is superi n tend cd the Co,m pany 's new works in course of erection, and it is a matter of regret that one' so lona; and intimately indentified with th : 3 goldfiold should decide to leave it just when its prospects appear so much improved. 14 nf there can be no doubt a man "of MiAdams' ability will find many good openings in a new country, and we wish him every success. On Jcarnin^ it was all finally settled that Miv Adams was leaving the Company's service, Mr Hugh McLiver also 'tendered his resignation, and ceasps to be in tho Company's employ on this day week. We believe Mr McLiver intends going over 1 the 'other sile' with Mr Adams. Mr McLiver has for a number of years past been manager of the New Find mine, and is a first-class miner. We wish him also every sucoess in a new sphere of action. As may be supposed the changes above referred to, ami which a few weeks ago were not even contemplated, forms the principal topic of conversation at Waiorongomai just now, and the question is often askel, 'What will be the next change,'
