The A.R.G. Spring Meeting which was postponed from last Saturday on account of the inclemency of the weather came off at Ellerslie this afternoon. The elements were again unpropitious, rain falling this morning. It cleared up somewhat later on, but at noon the sky was very dull and threatening. This has had a bad effect on the attendance, which was not large when the first race started- The saddling paddock and racing track are in a very soft condition. Mr P.
